Lucky dropped its first and only season on July 14, 2026, with little fanfare-but word-of-mouth has been buzzing ever since. The story follows Luciana "Lucky" Armstrong (Taylor-Joy), a scrappy con artist who finds herself caught between the FBI and a ruthless crime boss after a multi-million-dollar heist goes awry. Over eight episodes, Lucky bounces from one sticky situation to another, dodging bullets, burning bridges, and occasionally pulling off a clever trick that reminds you why she’s called Lucky.
The supporting cast is stacked: Annette Bening plays Priscilla Masterson, the icy crime boss with a steel-trap glare; Clifton Collins Jr. is Harris Dutch, a fast-talking fence who’s in over his head; Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor brings gravitas as FBI Agent Billie Rand; and Timothy Olyphant pops up as John Armstrong, Lucky’s shady ex. Each character gets a moment to shine, though the runtime is tight enough that some arcs feel like they’re running on a single fuel tank.
